SPEEDISWIM was founded by Mr Philip Lee who has a passion for Swimming and a desire to promote swimming in both Recreational and Competitive level. Mr Philip Lee started his swimming coaching career in 1992 with the MYMCA (Singapore) and in a few Public Swimming Complexes, after having attained his Swimming Instructor Technical 1 certification awarded by the Singapore Amarteur Swimming Association, SASA (presently known as SSA, Singapore Swimming Association).

The humble start in coaching swimming as a part time job had eventually turn the career into a business. In 1996, the Swimming School know as SPEEDISWIM Aquatic Centre (SSAC) was registered with the Registration of Company and Business (RCB).

 

To ensure our participant attain a high level of water competency with good swimming skills and water survival ability, SPEEDISWIM drafted a comprehensive Learn To Swim programme shortly after the inaguration of the Swim School. With our comprehensive swimming programme catered for the needs of each participant, we truly seen many of them benefited from it as they are truly competent in their swimming skill.

The fomation of our Competitive Swimming Training (CST) Squad started in1999 at Hwa Chong Alumni Swimming Complex. Foreign Competitive Swimming Coaches were employed for the grooming of our very own Competitive Swimmers. Competitive Swimmers from several School Swim Teams have also benefited from the coaching of our foreign coach. Our Competitive Swimmers were exposed to swimming competition such as Inter-Club Swim Meet, National School Swimming Championship, Inter-Constituency Swimming Championship and National Swimming Championship organised and sanctioned by the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA).

The maturity of SPEEDISWIM Competitive Swimmers over the pass years of grooming had eventualy triggered Mr Philip Lee to register an official Swimming Club, named as SPEEDISWIM AQUATIC SPORTS CLUB (SASC), with the Registra Of Society (ROS) in 2003. Gazeet No. . To ensure our Swimmer given the recognition in the arena of Competitive Swimming and opportunity to involve in high level Swimming Competition both Local and Overseas which sanctioned by SSA, we have also send in our application as an Affiliated Members to the Singapore Swimming Association, SSA.

Mr Philip Lee (President, SASC), attain the National Coaching Accrediation Programme certification (NCAP) Level 3 awarded by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC), is responsible for the development of Competitive Athelet in SPEEDISWIM AQUATIC SPORTS CLUB. The SASC Competitive Swimming Team currently headed by Coach Cao Moxia, a High Level Certified Competitive Swimming Coach awarded by the China National Swimming Association (CNSA), is a Chinese National from Tianjin Province, P.R.China.

Besides having a Competitive Swimming Team in SASC, a 3 years plan has also in placed in the SASC milestone to have a Life Saving Competitive Team, Water Polo Competitive Team and Synchronized Swimming Competitive Team within next 2 to 3 years.

SPEEDISWIM has dedicated her staffs to give all efforts in grooming young Competitive Athelet for the Nation in the field of Aquatic Sports.
